    Ummm...Mildred Pierce?

Yes, Sucker Punch is currently the movie du jour in the Free Forum, and this is pretty much the polar opposite, but does anyone plan on watching this on HBO when it starts this Sunday?

As gay as the Pavilion claims to be (or is), I'm just wondering.

The main reason I bring this up: The director is Todd Haynes, who directed [Safe], the best film I've ever seen. It stars Kate Winslet, who stars in my favorite film of all time, Heavenly Creatures. It seems like a match made in heaven.

Oh, and apparently Evan Rachel Wood full frontal

Everything everyone else has already said except having to watch [safe] which I've also never heard of.

It's a period drama set in the 40s, and is by the same author whose other works were adapted for a few of the prototypical 40s film noirs (The Postman Always Rings Twice, Double Indemnity). After having done the melodrama Far From Heaven, I have a feeling Haynes is going to stick closer to the source material than the other adaptation, which was confined by the Hays Code.

EDIT: Oh, and flip the lights! It's also got a heavy incest theme, apparently.
