How to submit games to the RPG Maker Pavilion - Updated 3/5/2014

1. Select the forum that supports your submission

2. Select "New Thread".

3. For the "Title", put your game's title. ONLY your game's title.

4. In the "Message" field, describe your game's story, features, and any other information you believe is relevant.

5. If your game is a console RPG Maker game or demo, you're able to upload it directly to the site. If it's a PC RPG Maker game or demo, you'll have to upload it elsewhere and link to it here. If uploading a console game, under "Additional Options", there is an option for "Attach Files". Select "manage attachments". If you're submitting a PC RPG Maker game, you can still upload screenshots.

6. Click browse to find the game file on your computer, and click "Upload". all files MUST be zipped. You're able to upload ten attachments to your submission post. The ideal way to use these is to use one attachment for the game console's native format (dex drive or max drive), a second for a PS3 format save file, and the remaining slots for screenshots or other extra material you want to accompany your game.

7. If you need to update your game, simply edit it's submission post at any time. You can check the site's game directory to see how your game will appear in the listings after each edit. Try to make it fit in with the rest. No huge or colorful text, no images posted in the top of the post that appears in the directory, just general things like that.

8. Only one submission thread per game, unless the differences between the versions are drastic enough that it warrants having multiple versions available, such as a director's cut, or an alternate version with different features.

9. If you have a converted file for someone else's game, please post that in the conversions subforum at the bottom of the submission subforum listing.

10. Everything posted in the submission forums appears immediately on the site, so don't make a post without having your game ready to go up with it. These will be deleted on-sight by the staff.

    Aoi Tsunamiden

Description: A young female samurai feels an evil presence and goes on a mission to find and destroy the evil.

    game made by Swedish Samurai

Review: This game offered a lot of promise. After 5 hours of play I ran into a "cheater hut" that basically told me the game wasn't finished nor would it ever be. I don't know how many times I've mulled through a game only to find out that it wont ever be completed and everything I have done to this point was a total waste of time.

The plot was centered around a female samurai who feels an evil and sets out to destroy it. The plot itself was disjointed with many screens not making much sense or seaming to have a purpose. If the game had of been completed I might very well of figured out what the hell was going on. In any event, you meet a priest, a vampire, and a werewolf who joins you for one battle.

The themes where excellent. The castle dungeon felt like a haunted castle, the towns felt like they where appropriate to the situation. I found the generic maps had extra events added to them to spice them up. There was plenty of unique style of dungeons that where nicely made.

The game play itself was also nice. Instead of monsters dropping money after every battle you sometimes get items which you could sell. This is the first game I have ever seen that has such a low economy threshold that the best weapons in the game are under 250gold. This was a very different style of game but lacking easy funds also made the game more difficult as you'd be killing monsters forever and still couldn't make enough coins to replenish any items you used.

As in most games, the biggest problem is initial items. Throughout the whole game I never had more then one or two items in my inventory. You rarely found any healing items, never found any mana items, and the revive items where so expensive that it was impossible to buy them. Long dungeons where hard because of the lack of items, and I found myself without mana in a few longer dungeons, hoping that I found nothing that would erase my progress.

The battles started out as being balanced but quickly ended up as a mess. Many early battles where overly long because I couldn't do enough damage to kill them quickly. Magic using enemies decimated my party but thankfully those where limited to bosses. Critical hits was the big owy in this game, causing one to cut my hp by more then 80% at times. So much could of been done to better balance these, but this was a nice improvement over most games.

The bad battles was mostly focused on the boss battles. More then a few times i was forced to restart because the boss beat me into dust with over powered spells. The spirit boss in particular was outrageously powerful and I beat it by luck more then anything else. Also the Minor Vampire boss in the tower was so powerful that I couldn't out heal its damage from the start and only beat it because I recruited Styx in exchange for page and used his 50 DMG spell twice in a row.

That leaves another important issue. Page was so under powered that his regular attack was doing next to nothing and he didn't have enough mana or spells to be using them frequently. If your going to make a weak character then give them something to compensate. I found I was defending more with him then attacking, just to save time.

Spells themselves where not bad. The heal spell and antidote spell are the ones I used most frequently. The antidote spell was expensive to use and with the large amount of monsters that poisoned you, it was blowing all my mana on removing poison. I rarely used any other spells as they often where far too underpowered, my double weapon attack being almost always better.

I did find a few bugs, most notably one where I could leave a bridge and walk through the lake. Beyond that many of the cut scenes from the game didn't disappear so you had Styx for example on the screen and in your party. There also was plenty of times where conversations with members I didn't have would still speak (though this was explained later on).

At the cheater hut I received the best weapons in game and hints to all of the extras. I managed to find most of the additional features including a naked woman fight which was interesting (and perverted). I couldn't find all of the naughty items so I don't know what that last achievement would of given me.

Overall I'm satisfied with what I played. This game wasn't a horrible experience but I did feel cheated out of a proper ending. Some more time and energy into the game could of improved it dramatically.

Thank you Ωbright for the sig fix!
