How to submit games to the RPG Maker Pavilion - Updated 3/5/2014

1. Select the forum that supports your submission

2. Select "New Thread".

3. For the "Title", put your game's title. ONLY your game's title.

4. In the "Message" field, describe your game's story, features, and any other information you believe is relevant.

5. If your game is a console RPG Maker game or demo, you're able to upload it directly to the site. If it's a PC RPG Maker game or demo, you'll have to upload it elsewhere and link to it here. If uploading a console game, under "Additional Options", there is an option for "Attach Files". Select "manage attachments". If you're submitting a PC RPG Maker game, you can still upload screenshots.

6. Click browse to find the game file on your computer, and click "Upload". all files MUST be zipped. You're able to upload ten attachments to your submission post. The ideal way to use these is to use one attachment for the game console's native format (dex drive or max drive), a second for a PS3 format save file, and the remaining slots for screenshots or other extra material you want to accompany your game.

7. If you need to update your game, simply edit it's submission post at any time. You can check the site's game directory to see how your game will appear in the listings after each edit. Try to make it fit in with the rest. No huge or colorful text, no images posted in the top of the post that appears in the directory, just general things like that.

8. Only one submission thread per game, unless the differences between the versions are drastic enough that it warrants having multiple versions available, such as a director's cut, or an alternate version with different features.

9. If you have a converted file for someone else's game, please post that in the conversions subforum at the bottom of the submission subforum listing.

10. Everything posted in the submission forums appears immediately on the site, so don't make a post without having your game ready to go up with it. These will be deleted on-sight by the staff.

Thank you for supporting the RPG Maker Pavilion!

    The Tale of Cloran Hastings

description: a famous pirate by the name of Cloran Hastlings goes on a journey to retrieve the kings daughter. Though tales of his adventures are wildly exaggerated he may find that they are truer then he thought.

review: An interestingly innovative game, this is one of the shortest titles I have played, being less then 2 hours to run through it. The innovation comes not from mini games or any of the other usual stuff but instead from the choice of player character.

You play as a captain of a ship, where you have to upgrade your ship to battle against sea monsters of all kinds. Rather then finding new helmets or better swords you have to find stronger sails and better cannons. attacks are centered around your ship.

The plot itself is based off other legends but has no real depth. You encounter other mystical places but they feel like you just stumbled into them and then out of them. The plot felt thin and could of easily been stuffed with more substance.

The game play itself is ok. Dungeons are maze like, being various scenes of craggy rocks or icy slopes. Though interesting at first they become bland and boring as the game progresses, the same kinds of areas, just with a different pallet swap. The goals are the same in each dungeon, make your way to the other side, pick up random stuff as you go.

The game could of been better balanced. Battles at first where excruciatingly hard. I was forced into a gameover several times before i survived long enough to buy supplies. The final time I only made it by a lucky chance at running into a mead cask at 1 hp and no healing items. This could of easily be solved by giving the player a starting collection of health or started you off at a higher level. As you progressed through the game, buying upgrades became useless as you always overpowered the enemies. The attacks of the enemies where rather bland and uninspired and i spent the whole game just attacking, the skills being too weak, or rounds too resource sucking.

The final boss and only boss in the game was interesting but felt like a regular enemy with far too much hp. I was just clicking attack to kill it and for a boss of this type I was unimpressed by its docile behavior. I expected an epic fight to cap off the game and what I found was a boring uneventful encounter.

Overall the game is alright. Rone's other games are much better for depth and quality. I don't regret investing the 2 hours it took to beat the game.

Thank you Ωbright for the sig fix!
