I just finished the first season of spartacus: Gods of the Arena. Anyone else seen it? Very entertaining, not to mention all the sex and violence you can shake a stick at.

Re: Spartacus: Gods of the Arena & Blood and Sand
It appeals in the way every Sam Raimi show has appealed to me, though with less flair and silliness than his other outings.
And it's another one of those things that is pretty good at drawing up sympathetic characters and then dragging them through hell and back with little to no respite to make their personal journeys worth having experienced."Mindless killing doesn't do a lot for me anymore." - Sampson

Re: Spartacus: Gods of the Arena & Blood and Sand
Mora, I should mention that I went back to watch Blood and Sand (the first series) after seeing the newest episodes, Gods of the Arena...
Gods of the Arena is much, MUCH better so far. Better written, not as hamfisted, better characterization, better special effects. I still like Blood & Sand so far, but GOTA was way better. I really loved the character Gannicus.
