Way back in February(the 11th) I went to a party with my friend.
We decided to leave and continue the party at his place. It's the 12th now. As we were walking this other guy coming from another party met up with us and started walking with us. We really thought nothing of it, just some random stranger. As we were about the part ways with the stranger from another party he stopped in the middle of the street and called us over. I walked over to the stranger, BIG ****ING MISTAKE.
At some point, and by some point I mean right when I walked up to him, he stabbed me(completely unprovoked.) I immediately started fighting for my life. After he stabbed me about six times my friend intervened and he got stabbed twice. After that my friend did what I probably should have done the second I realized I was being stabbed and screamed for help. All I can remember at that point is walking off and laying down on the grass and seeing the guy who stabbed me walking off with a self-satisfied look on his face.
I don't remember much after that, other than slipping in and out of consciousness. I had to get emergency surgury to get my colon repared, also, got stabbed in my left lung(collapsed) my left kidney and some random ass stab wounds on my upper cheek and the top of my head, as an added bonus, had my appendix removed. I initially lost five pints of blood and had to get more blood transfusions after that than I can even remember.
After I spent ten days in Nanaimo hospital I was discharged and got to go home, that night an artery burst in my kidney and I had to be air-ambulanced to Vancouver General; had a coil put in the damaged artery to fix the abscess; lost the use of 15% of my kidneys and developed a large hematoma on my side that will take months for my body to break down. I was discharged from Vancouver General on the 27th.
As for the guy who stabbed me. They caught him right after it happened, pretty much. He was originally charged with attempted murder but they bumped it down to aggrivated assult for reasons I still don't fully understand, the arresting officer told me it was because it would be easier to convict him. Still in jail at the court house; bail hearing is on the 15th. He was going to plead innocent but I guess he's thinking about pleading guilty now. I'm not too sure what's going on with all that.
