Ha, for sure. Wasn't Portable 3rd Capcom's fastest selling title ever? That's retard crazy, considering it's a japanese only psp game.

I took it. Said I wanted a massive world map with mountains and caves, and various different climates to explore full of monsters and treasures, with no loading times.

I also support the wanting a shift away from crazy japanese stuff. The first game was almost completely devoid of japanese cliches, except for the giant weapons.

I did it, but I have a hard time believing Capcom cares what roundeyes think about their Japanese goldmine.

I could see them developing two Monster Hunter games simultaneously; one tuned for Japanese gamers and the other a more radical interpretation of the formula aimed at expanding the market in the West.

Honestly, though, the only things I'd like to see are a shift towards a more European setting and for them to tone down the ridiculous armour and weapon designs of the recent games. It's getting more and more weeaboo as the series progresses, and less appealing to non-anime fans and/or western gamers.

I understand they want to expand the market, but you can't ride the hardcore fanbase forever with no innovation.

I actually added as my suggestion to let us choose what the weapons and armor look like. Instead of just set designs and upgrade tree.

Personally I would like using 5 dragon fangs to make a sword to look like 5 dragon fangs made a sword.

I don't think there's much of a problem with MH's core design as there is with accessibility and polish. There's so much room for improvement though and Capcom is either too lazy to care because what's there is selling like gangbuster and they're taking the Pokemon approach to game development.

And yeah changing character sizes and proportions would be great. Its weird when everybody is the exact same size. I want to make a really short, really fat guy.

Changing the proportions is also one of the things I asked for. It'd be nice to get a lot more options with today's consoles/handhelds for character creation in the series.
