    Donald Trump for President!

    http://www.nydailynews.com/news/poli...ay_ron_pa.html

It may not actually happen, but if he did run for the Presidency, I could see him having a fighting chance. Our economy is in such a sorry state, it'd take a business man like him to figure out how to put it back in order. The only question is: does he know enough about other affairs to handle them, too?

Our economy is not in as bad shape as you'd think. Last year we had the highest GDP we've EVER had, corporate profits were the highest ever as well, savings are up for the third year in a row. Unemployment is really going to start picking up over the next year, I mean growth won't be more than 4% but 4% of $16T is still a lot. Trump is a terrible candidate for president and the fact that people would seriously consider him is a sad sad thing for this country.
    Grow!

I'd rather have him than a happy-go-lucky soccer mom.

Trump/Palin or Palin/Trump would be the guarantee ticket for an Obama re-election.

Ha. Yeah, right, mcardie. Take a celebrity with an eye for business and an every-man's lovable yet psychotic housewife, put them on the ticket together and you've got yourself a mean combination that a lot of people would vote for.

id rather see chinas good inspected more often when it hits the borders rather then a tariff. the tariff would eliminate some of the idiotic cheap goods that walmart puts out, might get people to think about quality again.

              Trump: Okay

              Palin: No, just hell no.

Yeah BRC, until people start asking Trump how many times he's had to dig his corporation out of debt...and asking Palin what she reads in her off-time.

Props though, you're getting rep for that post.

According to the poll on that site, 65% of the people would vote for Trump.

Trump is a buffoon and a hypocrite - and that's when he's in the public eye. What is he like behind the scenes?

I'm not going to say he's a bad businessman but let's not forget he's had quite a few failures on that front.

Would he be better than Palin? Yes. At least he's got the gonads to take action with his heart instead of kowtow to the Republican Machine - but I don't think his heart would be in the right place real often.

I'd rather see a Magnificent Bastard (that is, Mitt Romney) Win than a Trump Presidency.

P.S. - By the way, a 25% tariff on all goods from China would have about a 50/50 chance of either ruining our economy or starting a Sino-American nuclear war. It's a good thing our corporations wouldn't let it happen.

Um...am I the only one here that remembers Ross Perot? We tried this idea already. And the fact is Trump isn't even that great of a businessman. If he DOES run, he'll just take votes away from the Republicans and gaurantee a 2nd term for Obama...which is fine by me.

not trying to start a political debate here, and don't care to elaborate on why, but I wouldn't vote for Obama again.

Even if the alternative is horrifying? Because it probably will be. It's like deciding between a punch in the stomach or having your dick and testicles sawed off with an olive fork.

Trump has charisma that Perot did not and name recognition throughout America that's hard to deny.
