2011 Grammys (Arcade Fire: Album of the Year!)

Just for anyone who cares, really.

Cee-Lo won for his song "**** You." I'm very proud of him.

I'm flipping back and forth between this and the Olympic Anniversary Special.

Nice to see Christina Aguileria redeem herself a bit after that Super Bowl debacle.

and.... was that mozzarella cheese Gaga was wearing??

She's worn meat before, so I guess this is nothing new.

I'm very upset that Jay-Z won for "Empire State of Mind." I hate the song, and I mostly hate his BP3 album.

I attempt to care less, and fail. But then, my music tastes run both weird and old.

I know Cee lo green's performance was like watching Sesame Street on crack, but he was having fun with it, so good on him!

Arcane Fire sounds better than Arcade Fire.

And Cee Lo Green won for "Forget You", not "F*** You". I hate censorship, but obviously they weren't going to put the uncensored version up for the prize. Congrats, though. I love that guy.

No, he won for "The song also known as "Forget You" which cracks me up.

I heard some Arcade Fire and it really didn't make love to my earholes. I'll give it another shot.

One of the most underwhelming year for music since I was born.

Naw, 2010 didn't have a single release that screamed ALBUM OF THE YEAR to me, which is honestly a first for me.

I'm pretty glad Arcade Fire won, if only because it's way better than anything else nominated.

But Wavves might have put out my favorite album of 2010:

there were plenty of great albums in 2010. Jonsi, the National, Owen Pallett, Deerhunter, Wild Nothing (best new artist last year in my opinion), ceo, Vampire Weekend, Best Coast, the Walkmen, Caribou, Delorean... just because you mouth breathers don't know where to find good music doesn't mean good music isn't being made.
