View Full Version : (New question) About downloading RPG Maker 2 games
I called my local Staples and they have USB Drives starting at 20 bucks. I said I need a 1.1 compatable one and the guy said that they have 2.0 compatable ones, but they're backwards compatable with 1.1. This means they'll work like a Max Drive, right?
*Hopes so*
[EDIT] Is there some extra thing I need to do before I download a game to the flash drive and put it on my PS2?
I thought I read something about a file converter?

There's no reason why they can't.
Don't quote me though.
Great :)
*Goes off to buy one* See ya soon!

You know you still need the Max Drive PS2 disc to use it, right?
^ I actually have one. I bought the Action Replay cheatcode thing (I quickly looked at the box and thought it was a flash drive) (I was confused, I don't feel like explaining) Anyways, I never returned the thing. Lucky me, I have one :lol

I hate the fact that I posted a big reply to this, and don't remember what I said.:(
Anyway, yes any compatible USB 1.1 drive can be used(I'm using a 256 MB drive), as 2.0 isn't compatible with PS2s. I don't know if the PSTwos are 2.0 compatible and some 2.0 drives are also 1.1 compatible, but get a 1.1 drive just to be safe.
As far as I know, only.max and I think another format are the only ones that can be transfered through a flash drive. If you want to use say, a .sps file with the max drive, you need a save converter, which can be found here (http://www.pavilionboards.com/index.php?page=tools).
