Like a lot of Spyro fans, I was excited when I heard about a new Spyro game being made. At first I thought it'd be called "Spyro's kingdom", but then the name changed to "Skylanders: Spyro's adventure". I was a little saddened when I found out the Legend series was pretty much over, but I took it in strides.
Then I found out the concept behind the game: You bunch of Spyro toys that you put up to a scanner or something, and the toys supposedly come to life in the game as playable characters.
Translation: Activision is attempting to make more money off of Spyro buy making us buy a bunch of cheap plastic figurines to play the video game. Ugh. But the worst was yet to come.
When I saw the trailer for the game, I saw this:

"GAH!! What is THAT hideous thing?!!" Well, my friends, that is Spyro's new look.
Here was my first reaction:

So, not only did they make Spyro ugly, they're trying to profit off his ugliness. Even if the Legend version of Spyro looked like a baby gargoyle, at least he looked like a cute baby gargoyle!!
I don't know if the game itself is any good yet, but I am very disappointed right now.
What the **** were they thinking?!
