Battle High: San Bruno (XBL Indie game)

This game is exactly what I want to see more of from indie games. You do get your other nice titles, but in general, everything else is the same or just garbage with the Indie section.

It's a fighting game, and though it's only worth 80 MSP (a dollar) it's actually really good. Responsive, good animations.

I realize it's made by amateurs and it only costs a dollar... but it still looks a bit ghetto.

You were never hugged as a child, were you?

          It looks pretty awful.

Guess that means nobody loved me as a child either?

No, but repeating things others say now and then in some weird attempt to make a joke or get back at them shows you don't have a whole lot to say about the matter. So why even bother? Plus if you actually took the time to think outside of a single topic once in a while, you'd realize that Mora's constant negative behavior might have been a reason why i responded to him the way I did just now, and at other times.

Toaster, if it were just you to post here and say the game looks like crap, I'd think little of it because you don't make a habit of bringing things down all the time.

I'm not reiterating someone else's sentiments as an attempt for a joke. The game looks bad and that's my own opinion. What I did though, was pointed out how transparent your personal crusade against John Mora is.

You're always insulting him at the drop of a hat. I don't see other people here telling you that nobody loved them as a child because of their opinons on videogames, or I dunno, The Expendables. It always comes back to the same bull**** argument about how "people are tired of his negativity" when it's really your own personal vendetta. Get over yourself, and get back on topic. There's no need to insult others.

It's called an ad hominem argument when you ignore the facts of the topic being debated and instead focus on attacking the character of the other person.

Yeah, it's an amateur game that costs $1, but the sprite work is shabby, it looks like it plays very rudimentarily and there's a bevy of $1 options on the mobile front that do a better job vying at the same price point. I'm glad you had fun with it, I just don't know how broad the appeal of something like this is.

In any case, fans of creativity who actually played the game should be able to appreciate the effort put into it by such a small group.

For what it's worth, I think it looks like a good effort. Better than most of the crap on the Indie channel anyway.

People put a lot of effort into a lot of things that I find vapid.

Character designs and presentation aside (high school students, a few that look kinda like other well known characters, fighting each other), what I really enjoy about it is the fact that it's actually playable compared to other similar indie games. Plus it has a pretty decent combo system, but not anything crazy like Blazblue.

And it actually did make me think of MUGEN when first playing it.

Seems this began life on Gamemaker: http://www.yoyogames.com/games/46960...-high--team-up

I'm not a big fan of fighting games, but if this dude decides to port his other game to XBL Indy, I would consider getting that.
Oh my god! You are so beautiful.
I had no idea how beautiful you were.
