I posted this on my blog, but here it is too. Feedback is appreciated.

So…I’ve done a lot of writing in my life, but I’ve never really solidly written a piece of work that could be published for everyone to read. I was thinking of some kind of story.
It might go something like this:
The theme of the book is a survival game.
An entire society uses a person living among them as a social experiment, in which this person is being psychologically manipulated by means of mind control, in which the basis for mind control is getting this person to be obedient to indirect suggestions and commands through the use of color. It would be like a game of red light green light, stop and go, except applied to every part of this person’s life. This society in order to make this person do what they wanted would have to all work together in brainwashing this individual, and study and record all the events that take place. People are predictable and have patterns, and although free will probably does exist, while a person is bound to their ego and
physical desires, many things about a person can become predictable to the point where it can seem like someone can know your future thoughts and actions before they even become a concern in your own mind.
This story would probably mix in a lot of things, such as behavioral psychology, gestalt psychology, the use of perception, the art of memory, how memory works, how memories are formed, the basis for brainwashing, and other such means of control.
This would be an experiment conducted by an entire society on a single individual. It would have to take the entire society in order to do it, and every person this individual knew would have to be carefully watched so that they wouldn’t reveal that this individual was in fact an experiment. This person that was the subject of this experiment wouldn’t be told at the end everything that was going on. This experiment would be an inhumane project of society, one of which could not be publicly acknowledged due to the nature of what was happening to this individual. After studying the subject in this study and getting as much information as they could, they would get rid of the person that was the subject of this study by killing him in a socially acceptable way. It would be by means of a natural death, so that there wouldn’t be any suspicion publicly about how this person died.
The people closest to this individual would be the most likely candidates to cause the death of the subject in this study, of which would probably be done by means of poison.
It could be antifreeze in the drinks, or nicotine in the foods. The poison that would be administered would probably be a variety of things designed to cause the subject’s body to deteriorate and fall apart in several different ways, to ensure the subject wouldn’t survive no matter how hard he tried. It could be Acute Renal Failure that gets this person, or something else like cancer. If this person tried traveling outside of the boundaries established by the society, this could be predicted and anticipated based on the current capabilities and assets available to the individual in this study.
A large part of controlling this individual would be by means of his food. Entire food stores would have stocks of food that they would swap out and put on the shelves when they would hear that this individual would come by, in which all the food would be poisoned. After the individual was done shopping, they would swap the food back and resume business as normal in the stores. Again, it would take the entire society to make this kind of thing work out because this is part of controlling all parts of this person’s life in this experiment. Even the drinking water would be poisoned, and the people around this individual would have to be careful and only drink designated water that was safe for consumption.
So there is a physical element of control by means of poisoning the food, and a mental means of control through the use of brainwashing and the abuse of psychology. In anticipation of this person becoming terminally ill through the poisons or other such things, the hospitals available to this individual would also be in on this experiment. Lots of people die in hospitals, and a hospital would be a quiet way of ending the life of a social experiment without causing a paper trail that could be deemed suspicious.
So again, the theme of the book is a survival game, but the end result is that the individual probably doesn’t live. It’s more of a marathon for how long a person can live, of which the results are being watched by this entire society as a means of entertainment. It’s kind of like a variation of the Truman Show, but turned into a horror story.
All the individuals in this society would communicate with one another indirectly by never addressing the individual directly, but putting everything into a kind of code. When they would talk about the individual in this study, each person in this society would find something in their own lives, a story you might say, that might be used as an abusive analogy to indirectly reference information about the individual in this study. The individual’s family might communicate information about the individual to others by referencing the current life status of the family pet, for example. Or they might talk about their friends and associate stories that mirror the actions of the individual in this study in order to communicate what the individual is doing. Pop culture would also be used, music and the like. Using songs to play lyrics of things they want to say without actually having to say them, listening to music is a large part of plausible deniability when it comes to communicating messages because somebody else is saying something that’s pre-recorded. Even careful use of the television and using the scripts in TV shows, it could be done in the same way.
In order to predict what this individual is going to do, the people who decided to do this experiment would hire a lot of people skilled in psychology in order to mentally think like this person, in order to predict the thoughts, patterns, and actions this individual would take. Even the writing style, speaking style, everything. A kind of clone you might say of the individual that would be created based upon the information collected through the observation of the individual in this study.
If anyone involved in this experiment tried to say anything about what was going on, or gave clues as to what was going on, this person would be deemed as being ill. People might cough, make some kind of discrete noise that something was being said or done that shouldn’t be communicated. The term that could be used by the people conducting this experiment might be “infection”, to reference something that had to be taken care of in order to keep everything about this experiment quiet.
