OK, I plan on making an RPG that takes place mostly in a school. It's the school I go to and I plan on trying to make the rooms as life accurate as possible. The problem? Well, making Custom dungeons can take up a LOT of memory, so, I'm wondering if I should do this if I have a clean memory card.(As in, nothing is on it other than RPG Maker data)

Re: Is this a good idea?
Using a clean memory card is not only a good idea, it's recommended. RPG Maker 1 can take up a lot of memory, and it's entirely possible that you'll fill the whole thing. Heck, a lot of games wind up taking more than one memory card."What if like...there was an exact copy of you somewhere, except they're the opposite gender, like you guys could literally have a freaky friday moment and nothing would change. Imagine the best friendship that could be found there."

Re: Is this a good idea?
when you make rooms try to conserve as much space as possible. shrink down stuff that is needless like excessive extra space. dont be obsessed with making it close to what your mirroring in rl, youll waste so much effort and time that youd be better off spending elsewhere. keep things like the layout but be more creative in the fixtures and how the rooms work.
whats the story going to be about?

Re: Is this a good idea?
Well, now that the CPU that I use for playing games is working again, I stopped making the RPG. However, I don't plan on making it too big, of course. As for your question, Karr, my story would basically be Resident Evil at my school. Now, of course, I'm not copying the RE storyline. I planned on doing it because I played Resident Evil a lot a few months ago, and I thought "You know, I wonder how one would survive in a school?" As I said above, however, I don't plan on continuing the RPG, since I actually want to do a different story on the PC with RPG Maker with ePSXE because I don't have a dexdrive and I like being able to use custom graphics with RPGC. But, thanks anyways. Now that I've learned how to do custom dungeons, maybe I can actually not copy and paste Sample dungeons the whole time...

Re: Is this a good idea?
I really wish I was able to use ePSXe for the same reason. I simply have no way (to my knowledge) of plugging my Dex Drive into my laptop. I don't have a regular Playstation, anymore. So, downloading the bios to use ePSXe is out of the question for me. It is illegal if you don't have an original PlayStation, I believe. I might be wrong, but eh...

I'm sure it's okay if you happen to own a PS2 or PS3, instead."What if like...there was an exact copy of you somewhere, except they're the opposite gender, like you guys could literally have a freaky friday moment and nothing would change. Imagine the best friendship that could be found there."

Re: Is this a good idea?
I thought it had to be an original PlayStation. PS2 has different bios, doesn't it?

If that were the case, it'd be illegal to play PS1 games on the PS2/3. :P"What if like...there was an exact copy of you somewhere, except they're the opposite gender, like you guys could literally have a freaky friday moment and nothing would change. I've been able to access my Dex Drive with a serial-to-USB adapter and the Dexter software if that helps...Originally posted by Dallas Alvis View PostI simply have no way (to my knowledge) of plugging my Dex Drive into my laptop.THANATYR: Dreamers Awake demo version now available here!
