    HMMMMM

so a few of you guys that have been here forever may remember that, way back when, before we even got RPG Maker in the U.S., I wanted to make a game about going to school and have it be super open world, do whatever you want, affect the way the story goes, etc. I've recently gotten the itch to actually create it using either RPG Maker XP or VX.
I've done some research trying to decide which one, and can't make up my mind.
which would you dudes recommend, XP or VX?

Both would suit your purposes okay. I'd recommend XP; scripting is apparently better and you can use unlimited custom tilesets.

How Badly Do You Want It? (VX Ace) is now available for download! - no outside software necessary.

yeah, that was one of the things making me lean more towards XP. that and the huge amount of resources already available for it.

XP is much easier to use, and it's quite a bit more flexible. The only project I've worked on using it is the current game in development with a small team of friends, "Sanctuary Profile," but it's relatively simple and yes Wavelength, scripting is ALOT better on XP.
