    funniest or best podcast you've ever heard?

    This is my favorite...the Marc Maron podcast w/ Patton Oswalt, Doug Benson, El Chupacabra, Donald Glover, and Eddie Peppatone. The way Patton & Marc riff on this guy in a gorrilla suit, Seatle, the Discovery Channel terrorist nutball and more stuff had me laughing at so many times, and the Chupacabra character had some amazing one liners.

    I'm a very large fan of retsutalk, it stars slowbeef and diabetus and they talk about video games and the internet. It's an interesting back story on "Let's play", out of all terrible things it's actually really interesting. They guest star a lot of the Retsupurae usuals (Dave O, Chip Cheezum, General Ironicus) and sometimes ProtonJon.

      Podtoid is my absolute favorite. The following segment is probably the most I've laughed during a podcast. I thought my boyfriend was going to pee the bed when we were listening to it.

        The only podcast I've actually sat through all of was the Torres brothers talking about Parasite Eve and the 3rd Birthday. Been meaning to get around to Retsutalk though.

            Same.

            I've tried listening to the Ryner pavcast episode, but the problems and the cutting out drove me away.

                Doug Loves Movies is great; hit or miss by episode, but when it hits, it's absolutely hilarious. Here's one of the best episodes:

                  It's a movie review site that does video games as well. It has the absolute funniest podcasts I've ever listened to. In fact, I'm about to listen to two new reviews right now. All of the critics are down to earth, have great chemistry with each other, and are not afraid to rip a few jokes at each other. Listen to their review of GI Joe, it's great.

                    I'm resurrecting this thread because I think you guys should hear this episode of Ari Schaffir's Skeptic Tank, where he tells the story of how he becomes a paid regular. It's not even that funny, but it's a wonderful and inspirational story.

                    I've listened to a ton of podcasts and this is one of the BEST singular episodes I've ever heard.

                      I'll check those out Kire. I've been looking for some decent humor podcasts.

                      In general, though, I'm starting to think the podcast format is sort of lousy for humor. Sometimes it's great, but too often it just sort of spirals into rambling. I also really don't like when I'm listening to a non-humor podcast and they try to be funny. If I'm listening to a tech podcast, or a video game podcast, or something, there's a really good chance the host isn't funny. So don't try to be. It's what turned me off from the Giantbomb podcast.

                      I had this theory that eventually morning radio shows would die out, replaced by podcasts beamed from connected smartphones. But most of best moments in morning shows are related to people calling in, and you just don't get that with a podcast.

                          Since this has been revived, I've listened to a number of Retsutalk episodes, the first two Chipod Ironicasts, and several eps of How Did This Get Made? HDTGM is pretty good stuff.

                              I have not, to the best of my knowledge, ever listened to a podcast. I feel old. And yet still unapologetic.
