    Screenshot transfer

    So, in light of realizing that we can accomplish screenshots in the game, I would like to take a few of the work in progress and put them up here.

    Is it possible to transfer screenshots taken individually and upload them here, without the game?

    You'd post them into a topic for your game, but not as a game submission. They'd be posted in your WIP topic, much like was done here: http://www.pavilionboards.com/forum/...ad.php?t=25092

    You'll want to find a place to host your screencaps. I'd recommend Photobucket, myself.

      All right, thanks Draygone.

      I have another, more complex question;

      would it be possible to restrict the level cap that can be achieved in a game? I was thinking that you can reduce the experience gain from battles and such, and slowing down the experience curve in order to do so, but is there an option for a "Max Level"?

      I was also thinking; instead of the characters gaining stats, health points, and such, is it possible to give them items to increase stats by themselves, and not through leveling?

      One more question: could you make it so different "stories" can be accessed before you start a game?

      Because, I was thinking that after the player completes the main storyline, different stories could be unlocked at the start screen or such, giving them more playability.

        Having not made much use of RPGM2's default battle system, I can't really say whether a true level cap can be created. However, I do know for a fact you can change how much XP is required for each individual level up. What you could do is, after your "max level", make every level after require the max amount of XP. Odds are, the player won't actually reach it. Not unless they're REALLY bored.

        Pretty sure it is, though you gotta be careful about using such a system, as it can become too easy to make a character overpowered in this way.

        I don't see why not. You'd just have to create your own start screen.

          Those are good ideas, Draygone. Thanks!

          I wanted to just post here instead of creating a new thread every time I had a different question. By the way... (haha)

          I had an idea to somehow, someway, do a data transfer of a sort to carry over levels from one game to the next. When a player completes the game, I would like to have a code that is unique depending on what level they finish the game at, then inputting that and giving them the same level when they start the sequel. Is that possible, you think?

            Yes, it's possible. It won't be easy to code in, but it's the only way to transfer data when you tell your game to load a different file. Which is probably why nobody's actually used the feature, yet.

              Oh, really? I sort of figured that there would be a unique string of code for a different play-through, with added difficulty of transferring your party member's levels.

              I would love to accomplish that.
