My homage to Final Fantasy

I'm thinking about doing a little Final Fantasy-esque game on RPGM3. I don't really know how I'll be doing it, but I could use some feedback. Thoughts/requests/suggestions?

Not a remake, just my own version basically. I wanna revolve around the classic Crystal stories

I imagine the hero being this guy who everyone thinks of being the evil villain of prophecy, like Kefka or Golbez, but it turns out he's actually a good guy, like Leo or Golbez, and he has to save the world his own way while the supposed "Heroes of Light" are trying to take him down, mistaking him for the harbinger of cosmic evil and misunderstanding his goals of unifying all of the lands as world domination.

I like the idea, but I'm thinking something more along the lines of FF3 lol. I even have an upgradable class system, but I'm not too sure it could work. If interested, I could go into detail for some help and feedback.

I haven't played more than a couple hours of FF3, personally.

My advice is to try out what you have in mind and when you run into problems, come back. You'll have more questions to ask and we'll be able to provide more solid advice.

John Mora, that's the thing, I'm not really sure how to get it started. Right now I just have the character's and their classes made lol and I'm not sure how to make a legit class system.

Is your "Summoner's Saga" the same game as this project? Or is it a different one entirely?

No, Summoner's Saga is for RPGM1, which I think will be aborted. My Final Fantasy thing is on RPGM3.

Well, I'm going to suggest that you try RPGM2 (biased, I know XP) since it have a soldi class and rank system that I'm using right now for my game.

Thing is, I don't have RPGM2 lol and that's why Summoner's Saga is being aborted, I don't have my copy of RPGM1 anymore. Just number 3

I would offer insight, but I've never played the Crystal series, the third installment, for that matter.

Is a class-changing system even possible in RPGM3? I don't remember there being a command to change a character's class. But I'm not an avid RPGM3 user, so I could be wrong.

And for a story, maybe the four heroes could actually be the spirits/essences of the crystals in human form, because they escaped the villain's wrath before he could capture them.
