My favorite of this series is 1 (overall awesomeness), then 2 for it's refined battle system (story was meh). While #3 didn't even need to come out, it was horrible. Period.
BTW, if anyone wants a free copy of the original Wild ARMs. I'll GIVE it to you. RPGProgrammer style.
