    Action Replay Max Problems

    Don't necessarily know where this should go. But Im trying to move over a file to my maxdrive, I have done this many times before. Everytime I try to move a file from my memory card to my maxdrive it gives me an error:

    "Unknown Error moving file RPGM2(9) "

    Ive used my maxdrive many times before, could it be because of the slot? Im not entirely sure how to fix it, ive googled and have found nothing thats fixing my problems. Any help is most appreciated.

    I'm no expert on stuff like this, but in the admittedly unlikely case it was some kind of basic mistake... what kind of memory card are you using, and which command are you using to get the file from your memory card to the Max Drive?

    Have you tried different files with the same card & MD, different cards with the same MD, or a different USB device with the same card & software (I'm not entirely sure the last one is possible)? If so, are those successful or do you hit the same error?

    Also, I'm moving this to RPG Maker General where it's less likely to get buried (and thus more likely to get you a response). If you do want to keep it in your Game Forum, let me know and I'll be happy to move it back.

      Well after some trial an error, I do believe I need to get a new USB device. Im not using the Maxdrive, im using a 2GB Memory stick, also im using a Nyko Memory Card:



      Well I got it to work, but who knows when its gonna mess up again.

          actually, that type is actually licensed, if I remember correctly. So it might not suck.

            A console manufacturer... liscensing a third-party device? It's the end of the world!

                You said "moving" files.

                I remember hearing that moving files is problematic, and files should be copied (actually "crushed" is what I think they call it when they are compressed and copied) instead of moved.

                Hopefully it's that simple.
