Re: Brad Bird directing Mission Impossible 4?
Has he ever even done a non-animated movie?
Still, this is probably good news for MI. It has a chance to bring the series back to real quality for the first time since...wait...it's always kinda sucked, hasn't it? I mean, even the first one wasn't actually a good movie, it just had that one memorable break-in scene.Last edited by Hrafn; 11-11-2010, 06:49 PM."Never underestimate the predictability of stupidity."

Re: Brad Bird directing Mission Impossible 4?
Wow, they had that many people who made non-sucky movies wanting to work with this series? Shouldn't they be more interested in continuing to make movies that don't suck instead? It's like when Bioware did the Sonic game; it was a battle between a force of awesomeness and a gaping maw of ****, to see whether they would elevate the source material or the Sonic suck machine would sap away all that was good and Bioware-y about them.
And in the end...well, I don't really know. I don't have a DS. But by all accounts, it was a split decision in favor of Sonic's sucktitude winning the day. Bioware still delivered one of the best Sonic games in recent years, which means they cleared a bar set at roughly floor level.
To make a long story short (too late), let's just see some middlin' hack like McG do this, so we can ignore it. With Bird at the helm, this movie has a dangerous probability of actually mattering."Never underestimate the predictability of stupidity."

My deep dark secret, finally revealed! I must come clean at last: I do not personally experience every single product created by the entertainment industry. Or even a majority of them. Oh the shame, the shame of it all!"Never underestimate the predictability of stupidity."

Let us weep together, my brother, at all the media which we will never consume.
On the plus side, I have watched all five Lethal Weapon movies. So I'm not sure there was anything left to experience that mattered in comparison."Never underestimate the predictability of stupidity."
