    PSN download problems

Anyone else having problems downloading files over 2 GB on PSN lately?

I decided to buy Section 8 and Tomb Raider: Underworld since they were $15 each and when I try to download them the download meter stays stuck at 0, I don't get a "Download in background" prompt, and after a couple minutes I get a timeout error (80710723 if I remember correctly). Now the same happens with all my purchases on PSN over 2 GB, even on my PSP when I try to download Wing Commander 4.

I have tried a wired connection with no success. I'm hoping it's not the PS3, and pretty sure it isn't if my PSP is having similar problems. Maybe I just need a new Modem?

I tried downloading Halflife 2 on Steam and had no problems, so I don't know what's going on.

Sometimes installer "progress" bars stall at 0% on large files even if they are downloading correctly.

I would find a time when you are going to be away for 5-6 hours, leave it on to download even though it says 0% and when you come back see if its finished. Multiple times I have had this happen with large updates, albiet not on the PS3 network, but it seems that its a common issue a lot of download bars have.

On the PSP it doesn't even get to the download bar before timing out.
On the PS3 it seems to always get the time out error. I'll still keep trying, but it seems to have the same result every time.

As for Wing Commander, I was able to download it without problems a few months ago when I first bought it, and now I get the error, so this is fairly new, maybe even a bug with the last update.

I should've put a poll on this topic. Maybe I'll add one after work.

I would possibly call Sony. Also doing a little bit of searching, it might be a setting via your router.
