    WWE Smackdown vs Raw 2011

I'm so digging this. This has to be my favorite wrasslin' game since Day of Reckoning 2.

    ------------
Guan Yu: "Is your lord Cao Cao still alive?"

Xiahou Dun: "He says he can't die until you do!"

I bet online is still terrible and cheap as always.

I'll give it a rental, last year's game was prertty good.

online actually works, which I love.

All I've done besides a few online matches though was end 'Taker's streak with JoMo~

I still think the game really needs a much improved ground game to make it as good as the classic titles while being as fast as the modern ones.

        Is it really any good?

haven't gotten into a wrestling game since the Day of Reckoning games.

        WHICH WERE AWESOME.

I loved both of the Day of Reckoning games, as well as Here Comes The Pain.

          Things I'm liking:

-Improved physics, the way tables work now are particularly impressive
-"Canned" animations are fewer now. Just because you start a finishing move (or any big move) doesn't mean that it's "in the hole" and you can just sit back and watch. They get reversed now (****ing Jericho). Often if they aren't groggy.
-Story designer is actually fun now. You can use 15 created superstars without limit in created stories, although a branching story seems to work differently. Oh yeah, you can create branching stories now. (AWESOME!)
-Most of the legends I wanted actually made the cut, mostly Stone Cold (they fixed his giraffe neck from 2010), The Rock and Bret Hart, despite not actually having Bret Hart right now. Ricky Steamboat is in too.
-Masked Kane is back as an alternate costume.
-Complete control over every superstar's statistics, match cards, etc.
-Universe mode is like 24/7 mode, except even better and not as predictable.
-That I can actually lose to the AI now. Holy crap. I've rarely lost to AI controlled superstars in previous games.

There's so much I feel that has improved over the past three games.

          Things I don't like:

-Micheal Cole and Lawler host....everything. I understand why on WWE's end, but still. I miss JR more than anything else and I hope he gets better.
-I wish the gameplay was tuned just a wee-bit faster.
-Legend entrances are bit copied (still) from Legends of WrestleMania (most of them seem to come out the wrong way, seeing as the stage has changed since then). As well as Bret Hart coming out without his jacket, "Stone Cold" Steve Austin without his vest, etc. This is a nit-pick but they just look odd like that.
          -****ing Druid? Seriously?
-Still no more cross-gender matches except for Mixed Tag.

But I'm more happy that I figured out how to add my custom music without it being obnoxiously loud over the ring announcer and crowd. Between Universe and created superstars, just converting my music into "Titantron" music is fun. Although you could do that with previous titles. This is their best work since 2007 though.

How's the roster looking? I understand last year's game didn't even have Sheamus, and he was the damn champion.

Like, is Bryan Danielson (Daniel Bryan, whatever) in it? Santino?

Daniel Bryan is not in it (team didn't know he'd be back at SS), and Barrett Otunga and Gabriel are coming in (free) DLC that'll be out in a month or so they said, along with the nexus theme and a nexus themed-arena.

Yeah, not having Sheamus or D-Mac in last year's game when they won belts like a week after it hit was a little annoying.

Most confounding guy they have is somehow RVD is a legend.

I thought they couldn't do that since he's under contract to TNA. Weird.

What's the extent of Create-a-Finisher? Is it still from the front position only?

There's a front one, a flying one and I think one when the guy is in the corner.

Actually RVD's a Free Agent/Alumni in the game, despite having him listed in the Legends category on the site. Although he is considered an ECW Legend. The Roster is pretty solid except for a few choices (The Undertaker druid, for one) I can't wait for Nexus. I really wish Orton would revert back to his Legend Killer persona though.
