But I thought Kili and Fili were described as "thin for dwarves" or something along those lines.

Orcrest the Goblin Cleaver looks neat, though (which is what I'm assuming that Thorin is wielding).

Fili and Kili are the youngest of the dwarves in the book, so looks like they're making them out to be like dwarf teens or something here. So the light beards kind of fit, and it would make sense they'd play up some sex appeal here for the female audience.

The character designs mostly look pretty good, the big challenge here is that most of them weren't really described very well in the book, only a few of them had any real characterization. You can't do that with a movie, you need them to be unique enough so the audience can tell them apart.
