This is what makes being a fanboy worthwhile.
So, if you don't want to know anything more about this game at the current time, please don't read any further.
I swore to god I wouldn't waste time on anything else right now, but how could I resist? The intro is as weird, lovely and confusing as the last, but more subdued. Wacky visuals... as usual.
From what I gathered (and this wasn't much, since the intro for a new game is a long story in JP text with an awesome narrator) you're helping random people on earth by rolling up stuff they like or want. I guess people like the katamari stars and planets and want more. It explains some of what happened in the last game. Who knows, but that's the beauty of Katamari. I'll figure out the details later on.
The intro/tutorial level is similar to the one in the first game, but you can roll up these freaky angel things that scream. *insert Hank Scorpio laugh*
I took some digital camera pics for the curious, sorry the images look like ass.

In one level, you have to roll up everything in this kid's room until there's nothing left. I thought I was supposed to do something funky or find an exit so I wasted a lot of time here and got the present. It's a bigger antenna thingy for the tiny prince. He's finally a man.
The backstory seems to revolve around a young king of all cosmos and his father, seen here watching him dance with geese.

There's a tripped out fairy tale land with tons of flowers and cute animals/wood sprites/centaurs/gnomes/etc for you to try to roll up.
The music is awesome as usual, and so far it's very diverse (just like the last one). I've already fallen in love with the music that plays during this screen:

The lake/sea level is neat, because the katamari moves as if you are rolling underwater.

And there is a pseudo-world map instead of your little home planet. You can visit the king from there, etc. If you find cousins, you can play the game as that cousin.
I would play more, but if I do, I'll skip work and not focus on the whole art thing, so .... I'll share more later.
