    Equip all characters with all weapons

    No, don't confuse this thread with the classic trick to equip "any" character with "any" weapon. This is basically multiplying the trick by itself, so to speak.

    Let's say you have 5 characters, and each one represents a basic weapon. those weapons are:

    Sword Increases 15 STR, 5 MAG
    Dagger Increases 10 STR, 10 MAG
    Staff Increases 0 STR, 20 MAG
    Katana Increases 5 STR, 15 MAG
    Axe Increases 20 STR, 0 MAG

    You see, each weapon increases a set amount of STR, MAG, or a little of both, so they're balanced. By using the "Epuip any character with any weapon" trick multiple times for every character, anyone can equip any weapon bought at a weapon shop.

    Bear in mind this is just a familiar setup. It can be added to in make it more diverse, such as including Bows, which specialize in long-range combat, as well as Great Swords, which have elemental properties.

    Huh? The way I'm reading this, you're just listing stats that you chose for five different weapons. Then, you're saying you can use the "equip any character with any weapon" trick.

    I don't get it. It seems like everything you're saying is patently obvious. I get the feeling you have something in mind but forgot to write it in your post?

      sigh, by giving the above weapnoos the given stats, I made it so each weapon is just as useful as any other, but in different ways, so if you wanted a character to be good at something, he could do so, but if you wanted to switch him to something else, then you'd be able to without any penalty.

        Oh, I think I get it - you're saying that unlike in a "traditional" setup where the staves are going to be a lot less powerful than the swords because magic-users (who you'd normally equip with staves) have spells to make up for the lack of physical power, your proposed example has balanced weapons in order to make it a reasonable idea to use either type of weapon (since some characters aren't forced to equip staves now).

        Now, if you're going to make some weapons more about increasing your spell power, for example, every character should have some pretty good spells. Otherwise, it becomes pointless to create this kind of "flexible" setup.

          You can also only have 5 playable characters in the game, ever. That's the most people that can ever equip a weapon, because the list only holds that many.

          But the idea is do-able, you just have to be careful which character models you use.

            Yeah, you're right. Imagine the Elf or Archer holding a sword.

            "Hey, look! By holding my sword upside down, I can shoot Arrows out of it!"

            Also, what I love to do is have the fighter guy equipped with a great sword.
