That's right, my company is sending me to Oregon for a couple months in the very near future. Dunno the specifics, but it's about 99% certain to happen now. Probably gonna be up there for 2 of the next 4 months, so what's up Portlanders? Gimme some interesting stuff to do while I'm visiting. =D

If I were visiting Portland, I would make an attempt to see John Wayland's electric Datsun 1200s. One of them, named "White Zombie", recently ran 10.4 seconds in the 1/4 mile with a trap speed just shy of 120 mph. 0-60 mph is now 1.9 seconds. Maybe he'll give you a ride...

Here's a couple threads about Portland.

I'd recommend just getting lost and meandering. Though there are some hot spots to check out. Powell's City of Books, Ground Kontrol Beercade, the Hoyt Arboretum, blah blah. A million food carts. Shows every night. I have a friend that works at the Portland Art Museum that loves giving out free admittance.

Aaaand scratch this whole thing. There was a ****-hitting-the-fan catastrophe at work on day shift and now I'm being moved to day shift without any say in the matter so that I can fix things and keep the place operating smoothly.

It effectively cancels my trip to Portland. And I ****ing hate day shift, so this ruins like, the rest of my year.
