Biggie, you're a good sport and a respectable person, but I have to take issue with everything you've just said. {:3Originally posted by Biggie View PostHe seems like he'd be a really cool guy. Also he in my opinion is one of the only few that I think are doing horror movies right these days.

Re: Met Eli Roth today
He was totally a cool guy. It was kind of just another press thing for him so he was really just about promoting his movie. You hear it the podcast at krox.com/morningx
Also check out this. It's got some brief swearing. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CNSaurw6E_QThe Cyclops having only one eye, needed to seek shelter from the harsh sun. The shadow cast by the spheres gave him temporary respite.

You really thought so? Some people go into the woods, they get sick, some die (I think), they go home. The end.Originally posted by Hrafn View PostCabin Fever kicked ass.

Re: Met Eli Roth today
I enjoy movies where comedy and horror are intermixed. My favorite Friday the 13th movie is Jason X (really, some of the one-liners in that one are classic). And Cabin Fever managed to be funny without completely undermining the horror aspect. Besides, any movie can sound ridiculous when summed up in such basic terms.
Speaking of, Wiki's plot synopsis for the movie Mora mentioned has some striking similarities to the original Friday the 13th. *** SPOILERS ***
An artsy version of that with a The Others/Silent Hill ending doesn't seem as entertaining as fingerbanging and jokes about squirrel sexuality. If bleakness was all it took to make good horror, The Mist would be the best entry into the genre in years.
*** END SPOILERS ***
"Never underestimate the predictability of stupidity."

Re: Met Eli Roth today
The characters were largely incidental for the first Hostel. The star was the setting and the gore. In the horror genre, characters have always served in a more diminished capacity, unless we're talking about the killers themselves. Their victims are pretty much nameless fodder, distinguished only by how they die."Never underestimate the predictability of stupidity."
