The Expendables: I am not dissapoint.

It was quite possibly the greatest action movie in the history of mankind. It avoided all the stereotypes that would have made me hate it, and used the ones that make action movies what they're supposed to be. There was so much testosterone in that movie, I think I might have grown six inches of chest hair just from having seen it. It took all of the action heroes that I grew up wishing to be, smashed them into one movie, and the result was an explosion of blood, fire, explosions, manliness, more blood, fire, and explosions, and HGH (Sylvester Stallone was the main contributor there). The soundtrack was basically CCR and I think George Thorogood, which was inevitable, but I loved it.
Tl;dr version: See this movie if you produce more testosterone than estrogen.
    Edit: I meant disappoint.

What's the point of having an emergency response system if you can't provoke the wrath of God?

I produce estrogen on a theoretical level (don't get into the chemisty...I know I produce it in reality, too), so I will most likely avoid this movie at all costs.

I produce enough estrogen to have people in a certain online RPG I'm playing say that I'm a chick on the inside after I told them flat-out that I was male. Maybe I'll watch my copy of Roman Holiday as an anti-Expendables.

It's an action movie with no complicated subplot and is not focused entirely on character development. It is the antithesis of Perversion.

It would have been better if Sly Stallone shared a candy bar with Jet Li.

Jet Li was my favorite part of the movie. He managed to be hilarious and keep a totally straight face.

It was not everything I wanted it to be, or everything it could have been. However, it was damn fun, and I too am not disappoint.

The movie's one big issue is the same as one of its major assets: that Stallone made it. Let's be blunt here: his 80's action movies were simply not as entertaining as those of the two other titans he shares the screen with for a couple all-too-brief moments. He never had a flair for the one-liners, and lo and behold, this one sags a bit in that regard. Still, it's largely nitpicking. Who cares that there were dangling plot threads? There was also fire! And kicks to the face! And the best gun in the history of time!

                      Just saw it.

                      Ya.

                      I am not dissapoint.

I really really really hope for a sequel. This was just one of those movies like 300, testosterone fueled madness incarnate.

                      And it was great.
