Gas Prices: Summer 2008 and Now.

Back in 2008, Mid-grade gasoline in the summertime was between $4.30 and $4.50.

Now, after two years, the average cost of mid-grade gasoline is a meh $2.73.

How much were you guys paying two years ago, compared to now, if you don't mind my asking?

I was paying around $4.00-$4.10 a gallon at the peak of gas prices in Florida, for mid-grade. I've since switched to low-grade (87) after finding out that it works just as well in my car (and these days I'm paying around $2.70 in Virginia for it, so I'm guessing it's around $2.50 in Florida).

I have to say it, though: gas prices have very little to do with gauging the economic recovery.

It used to be about 4.30 around here, and now it's about 2.80-2.85.

I was paying $3.75 to $3.90 at its utmost peak in Oklahoma. Most I paid for gas when I quit my job and explored the country was $3.99 in Malibu, and by the time I got to Ohio prices had dropped to $2.50-ish.

If I'd waited just two weeks to start my trip I'd have saved hundreds of dollars on gas alone. =V

I saw 99,7˘CDN/Liter ( 3,77$CDN or 3,69$US / Gallon ) at Berthierville near of Trois-Rivičre in Quebec . But , most of the people take there vacation in the both last week of july . Each year the gas raise . But , not this years . I've been the only person who saw that lol .

Two or Three years ego I remember fill my car with 1,70$CDN/Liter ( 6,44$CDN or 6,30$US / Gallon ) That was so expensive lol . Fortunaly it's not a ''gasovore'' cars ....

The last time I bought diesel I paid $2.49/gallon. Damn that was a long time ago.

The most I ever paid was $3.79/gallon for regular unleaded in Austin, Texas, back when I had the POS Ford.

The most I paid for gas was $4.33 a gallon, I just paid $2.51 for gas a couple days ago.
Our gas around here has hit the $2.30-$2.40 range before and usually never goes higher than $2.60. Not to shabby if I do say so myself.

                          Here we go again!

$3.39 in Lansing, MI. Probably will be higher by week's end.
