I have videos/account banned by YouTube

Soooooo...I made a few animations as basically fan art, basically recreations of wrestling moves from the NES game pro wrestling in 3D. They were the back brain kick, headbutt, flying press, flying kneedrop, starman press, somersault kick and soforth. I went to check on them, but was shocked to find that they've been removed and the account banned by YouTube...I'm guessing for using the likenesses of these 20 year old Nintendo characters that they'll never touch again.

Isn't this over the line? I guess it has to be cool as Tifa and Ayame fighting to use another company's characters, and I'm not making a profit off of it or anything, it's fan art. What do you guys think?

I think it's crap.

I'd host the videos on Dailymotion or somewhere else that doesn't bend over and take it from corporations so easily.

Probably wasn't nintendo. They support fan art/animations. Hell, they don't even seem to mind fan-made games.

Youtube's been sucking a lot over time. Viacom is a huge pain in the ass for a lot of people, and my videos get copyright claims from people who had absolutely nothing to do with the game videos I make.

If you got money, you can complain to youtube all ya want and claim things you don't own.

Youtube's still cool n' all, but it's being a pain in the butt for a lot of uploaders. I have even seen some Let's Plays get banned and removed for no reason at all.

Anyone can flag your stuff as well. If someone doesn't like you or just loves being a prick. It could be the reason.
