Wii question

I've googled but gotten conflicting answers. If I "Format Wii System Memory" will Wii Shop Channel think it's a different Wii and not allow me to redownload Wiiware/VC games? Will they not be able to migrate back from an SD card?

reformatting means that everything is gone, it's how you can "safely" sell the hardware to someone else, so yeah, that includes the shop channel info.

Migrating from an SD card, I am not sure, I wouldn't think so or people would just transfer games via data on the card over the internet.
