    Hello.

And we need to know which RPG Maker you are working with. There are tons of tips and stuff in the forums below this one, check it out!

      Welcome to the Pavilion!

I saw that you asked for help in the RPGM3 workshop forum, but I'm unable to help since I've never actually made a game with the software (I use RPGM1 and XP). I'm not familiar enough with it to help, unfortunately.

It's late at night, so not many people are going to be on right now who can help. I suggest checking back tomorrow. I know the wait sucks, but it really can't be helped.

We have some very, very talented RPGM3 users here, so I know you'll get the help you need. Just isnt likely to happen this late at night.

          Hi.

Syn sounds like one messed up mofo.

Re: I need help and tips

I might be able to help more when I wake up tomorrow, but in the mean time I can give you this:

In order to use variables you need 2 things - event codes that change the variable's amount, and event codes that react to those changes (value-conditional branches). Variables are nothing without those two things.

When you go into layout mode and then place an event and look at it, there should be a button that says 'event codes'. THAT is where you'll place the event codes I just mentioned. They are all pre-made and listed, you just have to pick the ones that you need and add them.

The best way to learn this is by making a couple of events and trying it yourself, and if you need help setting that up then I'd be glad to try tomorrow!
