Most movies/shows set in America are filmed in Britain, Canada, or elsewhere. And if it's set in a fantasy world or the far past it's filmed in New Zealand.

Tons of movies that are supposed to be set in the U.S. are filmed in Canada, the UK, and Australia. It's considerably cheaper to do so.

I remember how they filmed Mosquito Coast in Belize instead of, you know, the titular Mosquito Coast, in Nicaragua. They did it because Belize is an English-speaking country, and cheaper and more convenient to film in. Hollywood makes decisions like this all the time.

I don't see why Captain America needs to be above decisions like that. Besides, he's a ridiculous superhero and there's no chance I'll be able to take any film about him seriously.
