    Trauma Team

    Official website with information.

Basic premise - six surgeons, each with their own specialty and form of gameplay. Traditional surgery is obvious (though they still did some changes - no time limits and NO MAGIC LASER SHARKS. They tried to make it more down-to-earth and realistic in this one.) First response is faster, less accuracy-based surgery where you juggle multiple patients. Conversely, orthopedics is MORE accuracy based, but there's not even vital signs to worry about, just working slowly step-by-step. Endoscopy is like...well, it's hard to describe, but exactly what you'd expect endoscopy to look like. There's forensics, which looks like a classic adventure game, and diagnosis, which looks suspiciously like Ace Attorney Investigations to me.

Speaking as someone who's not really a fan of the Trauma Center series, I just stumbled upon this from an amazon.com recommendation and I am absolutely pumped. Probably grabbing it tomorrow, so I'll be the pav guinea pig. (There's also co-op [!!], so I might have to get my friend in on this as well.)

      Re: Trauma Team

I'm definitely going to get this, just don't know when. I loved the original Trauma Center. Still have TC 2 on DS but never got too far since I've barely touched my DS since I got a PSP. And I rented TC New Blood on Wii. Would've bought it but this was already on the way. Anyway, as soon as I heard TT wouldn't have time limits on the surgery I was sold. That was the most annoying thing about the series. And it seems like the Forensics and Diagnosis parts are like a (much less charming) version of Ace Attorney.
I want that Mulan McNugget sauce, Morty!

I'm a huge fan of the series, but this looks....eh. I'll eventually pick this one up, but it isn't a first day grab like the others.

This game is pretty much as awesome as I thought it'd be. Story is decent but nothing outstanding thus far, and the endoscope controls are kind of annoying, but other than that I love just about everything.
