I only first got a cell phone about a year ago. Did the Tracfone minute cards thing. Was getting by fine on the cheapest card every three months but I've been doing a lot more texting so those started to run out fast and Tracfone's customer service is balls.

So I'm thinking about switching to Virgin Mobile. They have a no contract plan $25 a month for unlimited messaging, web, and data with 300 talk minutes. I barely ever actually make/get calls on my phone so that would work well for me. I'm just wondering if anybody knows of any better and/or cheaper plans out there.

That's a phenomenal plan! I pay close to $60 a month for all that!!!

Well, since there doesn't seem to be any better deals out there I went ahead and got a Rumor Touch from Virgin Mobile. It's not a smartphone but it's pretty neat. Only problem is they've got some issue with youtube not working even though it's supposed to. Some people get it to work sometimes. I haven't been so lucky yet. But if they get that worked out I'll be quite happy with it. If not I might return it.

If you can , Kodoo mobile is very cheaps . No Contract . Free Texto .

I use the Bell plan Prepaid card . For me it's cheaper that ways ( I Speaks about 3 minutes each month :lol ) Where I live it's Bell or nothing . If I take Roger the reception is not so good .

Hope I've help you .

Note : What I said it's Canadian Services .

Yeah. I'm not in Canada so can't do much with that info but thanks all the same. I was doing the prepaid card thing for a while. But I started to text a lot more and that was making my minutes run out quicker and then the company's customer service was utter crap so I just got sick of them.

All I can tell you about is Verizon; namely, that they cost a bit but the service is great everywhere. Except where I actually live. It's quite annoying. I can't give up my landline like so many others do unless I switch to another provider, which I don't want to do because virtually everywhere else I go I have bars, don't have dropped calls, and everything's fine. But service at home is zilch. Can't even get text messages in or out half the time, and calls are out of the question.

I pay $175/month for 2 blackberrys fully loaded and service sucks, although Im in a BIG patch of green called "COVERED" on Verizons coverage map...when I asked if I could break the contract because they gave false information(claiming I was in the coverage area when I wasnt) they said "Nope, sorry".

It does have very good coverage for internet access and messaging and such, its just the phone part I have problems with...but I dont use the phone much anyways so it doesnt matter to me.

But yes, I agree with you, your situation is 100% what Im experiencing
