Yeah, I checked on it as well before posting. Nowadays, the ratio of actual celebrity deaths to significantly reported rumored ones is about 1:5. But with cancer, it's pretty likely not to be a gag. Those typically feature a more sudden cause of death, like a car accident.

It is very sad that Ronnie James Dio died, considering that my brother will endlessly talk about the subject of rock and metal to me. Well, Dio has been promoted from Metal Legend to Metal God.
