    Display driver problems

Whenever my computer starts up I keep getting a blue screen of death with some error involving nvlddmkm.sys. It's some nVidia display driver thing and it's ****ing everything up. Deleting it does nothing. I've Googled "nvlddmkm.sys", tried all the ****ty advice and nothing's working.

The best I can do is use Safe Mode with networking. It's awful.

I'm at my wit's end. I'm this close to taking a baseball bat to my computer. Anyone here know how to help or should I just reformat my computer? Even then I don't think that will do anything. It seems like it's time for a new comp or new graphics card (is it fried?), or SOMETHING.

Download Driver Sweeper, and re-install your drivers, or install newer ones?

      Oh.

      Well.

Now it's not even starting up. It goes to a black screen. Restarting the power brings up "Startup Repair" which takes its sweet ****ing time only to tell me it can't repair anything.

My only other options are on "Boot Menu", "Setup" and "System Recovery." Or starting "Startup Repair" again.

      HOW USEFUL OLOL

Well, I guess that's it. System Recovery -> Reformat time? Or is there ANY way I can salvage some stuff from HD?

Only way to salvage stuff would be to plug your HD into another PC and transfer everything over, or use a Linux Bootdisk.

You can tell your PC to load from the CD drive when it starts up instead of the HD and itll run Linux off the disk. Then plug in an external HD and transfer all your stuff onto it.

If all else fails, you can get a USB cradle for your hard drive, plug it into your bro's ancient computer and move the stuff that way.
