I already have world of goo, so I paid 8 cents, given that I've never heard of the other games.

Penumbra Overture is the best survival horror game series ever realeased. Its one of the few games that actually scared me.

Also, its based off of one of HP Lovecrafts short stories, and thus instantly awesome.

Edit: If i didn't already own all these games, I would gladly contribute.

Penumbra, Aquaria, and Gish are fantastic and worth whatever amount of pennies you give them. There's also two charities in there so go ahead and give something, Jesus Christ you guys aren't too poor to scrounge up a dollar are you?

It's surprising that this has generated over $300,000 in two days. I put down $16 and I'll put down $20 more if it gets over $1,000,000.

Aquaria is a pretty sweet metroid-esque game that I still need to beat.

I love World of Goo! haven't played the rest though.

checking account maintenance fee just deducted from my account, so if I had paid a dollar or more, I'd be looking at an overdraft fee, given that I now have 70 cents in my account.

Last time I did this I got And Yet It Moves, which doesn't work despite my meeting system requirements.

                    Oh wow, Aquaria looks beautiful.

                    Lugaru looks unbelievably bad.

                    Penumbra looks pretty creepy.

This is a steal. I paid a dollar because I am a cheapskate.

                      I dunno...sounds a bit fishy....

Okay, fine, here's ten bucks. They mentioned some of it going to charity...

What's fishy about it? the people who made the games decided to do this as a way to raise money for charity, and help promote indie games.

What a cool idea. Give what you can afford, and enjoy it as much as you want. The name is perfect too; they were smart to call it "Humble". A lot of indie developers should be taking notes.

The closest thing I can think of to this happening at retail is Katamari Damacy, and we all know that went well.

Unless you're getting some kind of uber-cool benefit, there's no reason you should be paying to hold a checking account!! Time to look elsewhere, my friend.

Good deal for a dollar. This thing has made almost a half-million dollars, too bad it's split up 7 ways.
