Deathsmiles: Bullet hell with gothic lolis?

Found out about this whilst poking around the intarwebs for info on Agarest War. Side scrolling shooters are not necessarily my bag, but I liked some of the few I've played (mostly Ikaruga), so I'm willing to give this a shot if it's in the $30-$40 price range. Plus, LE comes with a 360 faceplate and an "arrange" CD.


Aksys is the next Atlus. Actually, I probably currently have 20-30 Aksys games in my collection across all platforms right now. They seem to be following Atlus' lead, and doing right by their target market. I'll give 'em my support. Plus, the BlazBlue sequel comes out in June, I think. Guessing they'll be publishing that as well.

That horrificly cliche oriental voice combined with the poor translation makes me laugh every time. Regardless, the game's artwork is beautiful.

The game that is the subject of this topic has some awesome artwork as well. I would definately play this...

Yeah, I guess I used the "probably" very loosely. Got some of the NIS stuff confused with Aksys stuff, I guess.

Three quarters of the DS ones I got because they were in these 2 pack holiday bundles at my work for dirt cheap.

As for the rest, BlazBlue is generally hailed to be one of, if not the best fighter this gen, the Bit.Trip games receive nothing but good reviews, and Castle of Shikigami looked like a fun, different take on a shooter. Plus, aside from both BlazBlue games, I paid no more than $20 for any of them.


Well, aside from Agarest War too, I guess.

If anyone has ANY interest whatsoever in Deathsmiles, I'd say jump on it today. Just looked on Amazon, and even though the street date is today, there's not even a listing for it. I had it preordered at Gamestop, so I got my copy. Just searched Gamestop.com for any other stores that might have it locally, and it did not find a single one within a 100 mile radius.


Gamestop.com has them available, though. Not sure for how long.
