    It's a (hardcore) party in the USA

    "Everyone is into a Miley Cyrus dance party. FACT. Oh, and at the Miley Cyrus Dance Party, please check your irony and your borrowed sense of superiority AT THE DOOR."

    I seriously cannot stop watching this.

    Are we supposed to be admiring this or laughing at it? Either way, I guess it's a cool video. I for one thought the atmosphere was pretty awesome.

    Also, it utterly baffles me that Miley was able to sing something that both sounds good and avoids boring ballad territory. Who knew the little fox was so talented?

            It's at a hardcore punk show. I'm pretty sure they're fully aware of what they're doing.

              Eh, it's more interesting than an actual hardcore punk show, at least.

                Did your mom go to one when she was pregnant with you or something?

                  That music is horrible.

                      let me explain.

                      i work at a club on the weekends where i have to see bros and hoes sing along to this song each night.

                      i also live in portland - which is one of the hipster, hardcore slacker/ironic d-bag capitals of the world.

                      these two things don't amuse or surprise me! it's like looking out my window!

                          To me punk rock is something that happened in the late 70's-mid 80's. Also, I've seen some VERY interesting things at punk shows, so I figured you must have been temporarily blinded or something. I wasn't trying to say you had sustained damage in utero or anything.

                            This was the implication I took from it.

                              I am not pleased with this turn of events.

                              This would have been funnier if they were playing an actually hardcore version of this song and the clubgoers didn't realize it. Then I would laugh. This song just makes me want to strangle things.

                              Whitechapel is also not pleased.
