I think if you want people to go here, you're going to need some kind of hook that distinguishes it from the Pavilion and the Mag. In other words, you need a good answer to the question, "What can people get at my site that they can't already get at the Pav?"

Czechs said everything that needs to be said.
I don't see any reason for another console RPG Maker forum. If you do, that's fine. but you're going to have to do a lot more than just three sub-forums with no posts.

Well, its still a work in progress. It'll be a while. Be patient please, I will try to amaze you all.

you may want to change the tagline. "the third greatest" on a forum with zero posts looks silly.

As a web developer I just want to rip and tear into why this is bad. But I am not going to and am just going to re-quote what Chex Mix said.

Well, I mean, hey, everyone here is right, right now there's nothing compelling there. Maybe you should have added some more content before promoting it.
You know what? That's OK. Even though it uses a similar system as the Pavilion, you're clearly not doing this to rival the Pavilion but instead to try to contribute something.
So go for it! Have fun with it, learn from it, and keep promoting it. If I see some interesting stuff on there that makes it worth my time, I'll join. I hope you do well.
In the same breath, remember that you can also use that same creativity and effort to contribute to the Pavilion if you feel that's a more effective route.

Everyone's got to start somewhere.
Though honestly, I'm not really sure the community's big enough to support three sites.

You are like 10 years too late.

Just to point it out, the site is designed to let ANYONE post on there, even if you are not a member.
Yeah, I am like 10 years late, and I officially have no friggin clue how to make my site actually good. I don't really see how I can make any compelling content. You know, The Pavilion is great because of the people there. Perhaps I should look at the ezboards.

not really design, you just have guest posting turned on.
all that's going to get you is a flood of spam-bots.

Then why make it and try to advertise it?

Well, he's a least going to get a better understanding of what must be done to run a website, and maybe he'll learn some stuff in the process!
Maybe he'll even learn something about himself.

Perhaps it isn't a good idea to run my own website. I mean, there are 3 official RPG Maker forums, and countless other ones dedicated primarily to the computer RPG Makers. So really, there's not much new available material. I tried to make the site eventually for the purpose of sharing game ideas in a blog-like format, but even that is on the Pavilion and Mag in the form of game forums. I just wanted to make a contribution to the community, but until Agetec and/or Enterbrain make a new console RPG Maker, there's really not much I can do for the community at this point, except maybe for making event skeletons for RPG Maker 3, or actually release my games.

It sounds like you are unfamiliar with the Ultimate Librarian Challenge (http://www.pavilionboards.com/forum/showthread.php?t=22024).

I can say this...at least you're trying to contribute to the community in a CONSTRUCTIVE manner, unlike, say, simple man, who "contributed" in a DESTRUCTIVE manner.
EDIT: I know you just changed your user title recently, but I've always wondered what a Seymour Omni was, and why you ruled multiple of them.

Seymour Omnis is the final form of the main villain in Final Fantasy 10. A particularly "disturbing" picture of Seymour is on my avatar.
I whole-heartedly endorse this product or event.

Wish I could, but I can't download any games to review!
