All Ive heard is that the movie sucks, but this is all from people that read the books. Ive read the books but have yet to see the movie, so maybe my opinion will be the same too! I dunno yet!

reading the spoilers posted here and at other forums, and it seems very, very different from the comic.

of course, I knew that was the case when I saw the trailers. big daddy's costume. and he was actually doin' stuff.

heard they ****ed with his back story too.

I heard when they were writing the script to this
adaption the first issue wasn't even out.

So I accept the changes and differences.

On that note, I thoroughly enjoyed this movie.
The action was slick, the humor was there, and Hit Girl
was pretty much the icing on this cake of coolness.

If you like action, funny moments and slaughter, watch this movie!

Well, that would make perfect sense, especially with big daddy's backstory.

                  Re: Kick-Ass

                  I've seen previews for it.

Are the characters supposed to be dressed like they're homeless?

That chick with the purple hair doesn't look believable as anything anywhere ever. Is that hit girl? What is up with the stupid names? Is it supposed to be some goofy comedy like Mystery Men or what?

I know nothing about any books by anything so it just looks like a ****ty spoof superhero movie to me, going by the previews.

Wanted was adapted after only the first issue had been released, too.

It's based on a comic series that spoofs comic book superheroes as much as it applauds their techniques and tropes. It's fun and violent and brilliantly executed.

I didn't even like the comic series that much, but most of the parts that I did like weren't even used in the movie.

Though that's not to say it wasn't entertaining and well-done in its own right.

ya, the intarwebs says the comic and movie were written at basically the same time. I've not read the books, and I really enjoyed the movie.

The movie was awesome. Probably my favorite movie since Zombieland (possibly more enjoyable than it too).

The little girl with the purple hair is the same one playing the lead in the American remake of Let the Right One In.
