    Animal Crossing revisited

Okay, I fired up Funkyton after thinking I'd never touch this game again. I figure I owe it to myself to eventually complete my bug and fish collection, and the only thing I hate leaving unfinished are the things that really don't matter. Unfortunately, I'm not going to be able to finish my fish collection until March and my bug collection until next June. I also am anal about never setting the date ahead or back in my game. So in the mean time, I'm working on getting a perfect town, which I will have in about 10 days. Also, I'm collecting items for my catalog.

So, has anyone touched this game recently? Anyone up for some trades? I know, this game is probably WAY past its prime, and I have no idea why I picked it back up.

I have never LOVED and then HATED a game more.

      And I never will again.

I'm currently holding out for Animal Crossing DS, which apparently tends to take place almost entirely online and allows your online neighbors to move into your town. Also, the buildings are new, Nom Nook's got a bigger selection and the beauty salon allows for more character customization.

I wish I still had a copy of animal crossing, just because it was fun to mess with from time to time. If they have made some improvements, I'll be picking up the new one for the DS. We had to sell ours back in the day to get money for one of the GTAs...

I have also had a love/hate thing going on with this game. Most of my animosity is aimed directly at Scoot the duck. He would not leave my town, even though I made several anti-Scoot shirts with his face on it and would sabotage the outside of his home with pitfalls on a daily basis. I even made signs that said "SCOOT F*CKING SUCKS" and placed them all around town (IE, in front of Scoot's house). Then he snuck up on me in the middle of the night and told my character he was in love with her, and ran off.

          WHAT A LOSER!

I am going to bypass AC DS and wait for the AC on the Revolution.

I hope they give you the ability to punch the crap out of Tom Nook if he jerks you around.

I got really into it a couple weeks ago... I got the perfect town about a year ago. That game pretty much rocks but it sucks that you basically have to keep at it for a year if you want to accomplish everything.

The biggest thing I hope they improve is mini-games. They need actual, full mini-games. Not the crappy ones they called in the GC version.

A Mario Party-Animal Crossing crossover? I would play that.

I recently had a weird hankering to play this, so I started a new town. I named my character Lyle, and I wanted to name the town Retardland but was two letters short. So I tried Tardland instead, and then it told me that I was still two letters short. It was like it was shrinking on purpose. I tried something only six letters long but it still told me there wasn't enough room. I got frustrated and finally wrote "F*CK" as my town name.

Then Rover the cat said, "OH! So you're going to F*CK?"

                          That was that.

I like plastering my town with offensive designs and hitting the animals I don't like in hopes that they'll go away, but sadly, they don't.
"They shouldn’t have called it Earth, they should have just called it the wipe-your-own-butt planet."

That's why the game eventually went from LOVE to HATE.

At first you're like..."I can do ANYTHING in this game!"

Get birthday presents, sell sea shells and buy furniture!

But after weeks of beating up village people and having them fall in love with you, sending letters and always getting responses like "I don't understand you!" or "You are weird, this letter makes no sense!"

You eventually declare..."I can't do ANYTHING in this game!"

                            Then hate ensues.

                            LOTS of hate.

Why didn't you name it Retardia, then?
