Memory Card Conversion?

I'm about to start doing the actual creation for my Contest game, which I eventually want to make available in PS2 and PS3 formats.

Ideally I'd like to use my PS3 to do the work, to avoid having to juggle a lot of cables every time I switch consoles. But I haven't been able to find reliable information about how to (or whether you can) convert a PS3 Save into a PS2 Save.

Can this be done? Which system would you recommend I make the game on, for a game I'm planning to submit to the Pav?

you can switch a PS3 save to a PS2 save. you couldnt originally, but sony released a firmware update that allowed you to use the memory card adapter both ways, instead of just taking stuff off it like it was originally.

I still have a PS2, max drive, and a memory card adapter, so anything submitted for RPGM2 or RPGM3, I can convert into the other format.
