    Fantastic Four

What I really don't get is why it's not called "The Fantastic Four." Does leaving the word "The" out of the title make it more edgy and modern?

Despite semantics, "Fantastic Four" was a fun movie. It's very comic-booky and all that implies. It's filled with week characters and paper-thin motivations, lame (but passable) special effects, and psudo science by the tons. But it also has the light hearted adventure and wacky fun of the old comic books.

Its biggest plus is actualy the way it made me belive that The Thing was made out of stone. This was achived more by grinding rock SFX when he moved, than the terrible costume. I think it looks better than a CGed Thing would have, mostly because the rest of the CG in the movie really stands out.

You'll like this movie more if you get someone else to buy your ticket for you, but movies like Spiderman 2, X-Men 2, and Batman Begins leave it far far behind. If you havn't seen Batman yet, see it first.

I give "Fantastic Four" 2 John Moras out of 5.

Guh. There really aren't many other good movies out right now to take her on a date to... and Fantastic Four doesn't seem totally appropriate for a first date... but whatever works for you guys, good luck.

Why would a bunch of astronauts trust someone named Victor Von DOOM to take them into space and expose them to harmful radiation?

You're going to have to offer me more than candy to see this movie.

The thought of someone like Michael Chiklis as the Thing .... kinda strange. Why couldn't they have gotten the Rock to play the Thing? He has a better physique.

                      It's clobberin' time! :P

I'd much rather see the F4 movie this studio made a few years back on absolutely no budget to keep the rights to the property. it was never released, and most likely burned. but a no-budget film WAS made.

Well, the thing is Michael Chiklis really can act (and is the only one who can in this movie) and The Rock was once quoted as saying "Acting is easy, you just have to make scary faces and screem real loud." I'm gussing that's why they didn't pick him.

OHHH MAN! CAN I MASSAGE YOUR FEET?!

I'm going to see this with my friends when I move back home. Or tomorrow with my pappy. He's usually who I go to these movies with. Since he's got more comic books than the comic shop up the street.
He knows like everything about the Marvel Universe before 1987 (oddly enough, the year I was born).
