Alas, poor Xisthruos has had no friends all his life, and so oft he would use videogames to fill that void... dozens of videogames... hundreds... slowly creeping, ever increasing, unholy hordes of videogames!! Usually, he would discover a certain genre by himself, favor it for a time, and would snap up whatever samples from it he found most appealing.
Currently, he favors 2d scrolling shooters. He first played Ikaruga and discovered the overwhelming, euphoric torture that games of its type imposed upon him ...and then, he wanted more, damn him! He went through Gradius, Contra, Metal Slug, and even R-Type, the fool! He suffered hours in that game to unlock all 101 ships!! But for what? He would only want more, and he knew.
Most recently, he has used ebay to backtrack through different games in the R-Type series (He likes R-Type most of all, and has most of the older systems to play it on. Hiss!) Sure, he only paid $3.99 for R-Type 3, and sure, $30 wasn't a bad price for R-Type Delta... BUT WAIT!!
...it was only a matter of time before the unspeakable would unleash itself upon him. Only he was to blame! He saw this for sale earlier yesterday, while innocently browsing through the site. Of course, he had no intention of making such a large purchase at first, but the prospect of having a Saturn and playing Radiant Silvergun captured his curiousity, and the blaring "80 GAMES BUNDLE" caption infused itself in his mind. He tried to ignore it at first, this is true, but he weakened. How couldn't he? Every time he checked the item, there were no bids, and again the caption would scream at him, reaching into him, as if to tear out his soul! "SEGA SATURN & 80 GAMES BUNDLE!! ARRGH!! BUY ME! NO ONE WANTS ME BUT YOU!! I AM YOUR SOUL MATE!! YOU CANNOT RUN, NOR HIDE!! I CAN SEE RIGHT THROUGH YOU, FOOL!!"
Defeated, he succumbed to the beast only an hour ago.
Whew! Well, all that self-loathing made me feel pretty good. Anyone up for seconds? *dons bondage straps and a whip*
