There is a short preview in this month's shonen jump. It's from the third series, which is what the anime is based off of. Go find an open copy in some comic store/game shop and check it out.

The art style is so much fun, and really gorgeous at times. Funky story, f*cked up characters, BAD CRAZINESS!

I'm very happy that it's finally being reprinted here, for the US and Canadian slobs.

The graphic novels hit the shelves in September.

I posted this so John Mora can start saving money for the first book now.

I heard about this from Valkysas a few days ago. I'm disappointed they're only doing the third arc. I want to read it from the beginning. Is the original manga as good as the first OVA?

Well, from what I remember, yes. I read some of it (translated by nerds on the web), but that was years ago.

I saw the first OVA fansubbed on VHS at one of the better anime clubs in SA-town back in like 98-99. It was so good that I "borrowed" their copy... permanently.
