It's good to see Nintendo isn't going after 3D fad. My eyes could barely stand Avatar and there is no way I could play a true 3D video game for a prolonged period of time. I'm glad they are investigating the long term effects of them, and I feel sorry for the test subjects.

This is a DSiWare game called 3D Hidden Picture recently released in Japan. It uses the camera's to track system movement the same way others have used head tracking. Since the announcement pointed out 3DS will be compatible with DS and DSi games it obviously will have cameras so this may be how the 3D will be handled.

which would be awesome, provided the camera doesnt suffer the same problems as wario ware for the DSi, and not see you if you are white and have bright walls, or are black, period.

According to Nintendo, the product will go on sale between April 2010 and March 2011.

If they're introducing it at E3...oy, did they really have to be that thick???

This is really neat technology and I can't help but think of how many uses it won't see because most devs don't care. The 3D picture game was pretty neat and the way you rotate the camera to find/create objects instantly reminded me of Echochrome where you rotate the world to create solid objects.

Like I said, how many devs actually use the second screen for anything more than a menu? We'll still be seeing the same old games with the occasional one that actually makes true use of the feature.

There were rumors of sort of built-in rumble in the Touch Screen.

3DS will be at E3, and playable. that pretty much means it'll be out this year, if it's that far along.
