    Contest deadline extensions

Uh, there was a thread of deadline extensions for contests a while back. I see the date is still April for #3. Were there too few suggestions to allow a change? I have my opinions of original RPG Maker games, but it'd be great to see many games from both types of users. Heck, I'd bust my butt if I knew I'd finish a RPG Maker 2 game in 3-4 months.

Although I probably won't make the date either way, I do think a deadline extension would be better. I know as of now the only complete game for rpgm2 that looks like it will make the cut is Nash's Zelda one, and if so it'll likely end up mostly being a (so to say) popularity contest of old rpgm1 games. I would rather see some new stuff too. I don't have any suggestions though since I probably won't make it either way.

I told you in the first topic you made about this:June 29th if I'm not mistaken. But, maybe a longer extension would work.

I wouldn't mind the contest being pushed back to September 1 so that I would have the summer to work on my game. I don't know what I'm doing this summer , so there is no guarantee I'll have time to work on it, but the more time I have the better the game will be.

I still have a lot of work to do on my battle system, as well as work on a weather system, a custom menu system, weapon upgrade system, several mini-games, and a few other enhancements before fleshing out the game play, making cut-scenes, adding story elements, and play testing everything to make sure it all works great. After all that, I'll add extra content so that the gaming experience will be more enjoyable (if I have time).

Creating a fully finished game takes lots of time, and it could be next year before I have anything near finished. It really depends on how much time I devote to making my game. Hopefully, this won't be the last Pavilion contest and my game will be ready for the next one.

I like September too. I think by then there'll be many more full games for RPGM2 because of the summer (as DW said).

I'd love an extention, cause as it stands, there's no way i'd get my game done in time without pulling some "chapter 1" bullcrap . I think pushing it back to september might be a little excessive, but I'd be up for a middle of the summer extention. June 29th sounds good.

If it's sometime in the summer? I may be able to whip something up for RPGM...
