    Jim Sterling addresses his critics

Known for giving Heavy Rain a 7, praising Deadly Premonition (10 out of 10), and pooping on Final Fantasy 13 (4 out of 10) and Assassin's Creed 2 (4.5 out of 10). An interesting read.

I like Jim Sterling, find him amusing (both in reading and audio form) and don't always agree w/ him, but I respect his opinions.

Re: Jim Sterling addresses his critics

It's not his reviews that bug me, it's the heavy strain of editorializing and troll campaigns against games that makes me loathe to visit Destructoid. They had like three solid weeks where hardly a day went by without a withering stab at Heavy Rain.

Yeah some of his stuff is out right trolly. And rating a true Final Fantasy 40% (supposing it is true) is suicide! But I really did enjoy DP.

He can rate anything anything he wants, but the antagonism should be left there where you'd expect it.

Exactly! 'Cause that stuff is fun to read, too.

Re: Jim Sterling addresses his critics

I personally find the non-news driven articles like "why Deadly Premonition is better than Heavy Rain" why I check out Destructoid over the other game blogs. If you don't like that sort of thing, there's Kotaku or whatever else.

In related news, Jim made a video of an Ekans he made in 3D Dot Game Heroes and it was cool! Can't wait for that game.

Hes fond of playing the internet assh*le card, which is overused and rarely amusing to me.

He can rate whatever and however he wants, its his opinion. Acting the internet tough guy, then attempting to take the moral high road in every arguement he instigates is entirely another thing.

                    God damn you, Perversion.

I was hoping no one had caught that.

I like This man, he actually seems to not be the basic "swoon over every major title" reviewer. I respect the man.

FF game given a 4/10? Ballsy.

IX is my favorite. nostalgia has nothing to do with it. I came into the series at VI.

PEOPLE HAVE DIFFERENT OPINIONS THAN ME, AND DONT LIKE THE THINGS I LIKE AS MUCH AS I LIKE THEM?

OH **** SON, HE MUST BE TROLLING. THERES NO OTHER POSSIBLE EXPLANATION.

I don't care what Jim Sterling has to say about anything.
